The main ingredient in these vegan brownies is of course the spotty bananas. Using one’s that are ripe or over ripe will provide a much naturally sweeter brownie. Alternatively, you can use pumpkin instead.
Almond butter is a healthy fat that will add both flavor and texture to this brownie recipe. You may use peanut butter, cashew butter or for a nut-free option sun butter or oat butter.
Vanilla extract is necessary for any baked good.
Maple syrup adds the perfect amount of sweetness to these brownies and is also an unrefined sweetener. You can easily swap it out for coconut sugar, cane sugar, brown sugar or even monk fruit sweetener.
